Engine Shipping

Instructions on How to Ship Top Ends and Engines

STOP! CALL ME BEFORE YOU SHIP ANYTHING!

For individual top end parts, send the complete cylinder, head, and powervalves all bolted together. Wrap all part together in a seal plastic bag. This will keep any residual fluid from soaking into the shipping box, compromising the strength and integrity of the box allowing your parts to get damaged or even fallout of the box. Use a large enough box and pack plenty of tightly packed paper or Styrofoam peanuts all around the parts especially underneath in the bottom of the box.

Make sure that you include the order form<EngineShippingDoc> in the box. Tape the box up with shipper's approved packing tape. Make sure that you tape ALL edges and flaps, including the bottom of the box.

For Hodaka, Yamaha YZ and Suzuki RM models send the whole engine. Start by draining the oil, coolant, and fuel. Double-box the engine with at least a few inches of packing material between the engine and box and the inner box and the outer box. I

f you choose UPS, save the tracking number so you can track your package to see when it arrives. All orders are checked into the system in the week they arrive and turnaround time varies based on seasonality.
